If so, you can apply for up to £500 to support you towards realising your ambitions.

You must be 18 or over to apply. The fund is not open to HE / FE students.

You must be a resident of, or an organisation registered in, the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Who will make the decisions about the funding?

The OUTSIDE team in conjunction with our residents advisory groups will review and select the applications based on a set of criteria including ambition, community impact, accessibility, quality of activity and sustainability.

What can the funding be used for?

You can apply for anything that will support you or your organisation to deliver more creative activities, whether free or paid for. This might be equipment, materials, travel, expenses, a fundraiser, marketing materials, an artist’s fee, etc… If you’re unsure, please drop us a line on hello@outsidearts.org to ask for further details.

What can the funding not be used for?

Activities which don’t support communities in the Staffordshire Moorlands

Activities which are unsafe or illegal

The advancement of religion or politics

The repayment of loans or debts

Costs already incurred (retrospective funding)

When must the funding be spent?

Within 12 months of receiving the funds

Can I be based outside the Staffordshire Moorlands but delivering to communities inside the Moorlands?

No, the intention of this funding is to support Moorlands based individuals and organisations.

Can I be based inside the Staffordshire Moorlands but delivering to communities outside the Moorlands?

No, the intention of this funding is to reach Moorlands based communities.

How much funding is available in total?

We expect to distribute approximately £6,000.

Do I need to be a registered organisation/not for profit/charity to apply?

Individuals can apply but must be registered with HMRC and have a unique tax reference.

Organisations must be constituted and have a bank account in their name.

Any organisation can apply who is delivering creative activities with communities you do not need to be a registered charity or not for profit as long as you are working with local communities in the Moorlands.

If I miss this deadline will their be future opportunities?

We will evaluate this round of funding and anticipate then running the scheme again in 2025.

When will I find out if I’ve been successful?

We hope to notify applicants within 2 weeks.

What evaluation is required?

In line with our ambition to keep admin to a minimum, all we will require is a very short form to confirm that the funding has been spent and information about the impact it has had.

This funding isn’t applicable for me, is there any other support I can access?

It may be worth you booking a 1-2-1 session with a member of our team to see if they can offer additional help and support and signpost to other fundraising opportunities. Please see our website for details or email hello@outsidearts.org

If successful how will I need to credit OUTSIDE?

We will provide you with a copy of our logo and will expect that it is used on marketing materials (print and digital) for your activity. Where it’s not possible to include the logo, please mention OUTSIDE / tag on posts relating to the activity on your social media channels.
