OUTSIDE is seeking a Project Manager.

 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, committed individual to help support the production of 24 Doors 2024. Building on the success of 2023, in December on the run up to Christmas Day, residents of Leek will be given a clue to find a different door every morning. When audiences arrive at the door that evening they will be treated to a Christmas cultural experience – it could be live carol singers, puppetry, a light installation, circus, dance, a brass band player, a nativity scene – the more surprising the better!

We’re looking for someone who is organised, and flexible with great communication skills. Your duties will involve working with applicants to create activities, supporting the collection of marketing materials, completing risk assessments, day to day management of the doors, artist liaison, admin including data capture, social media marketing and production support.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with community groups, organisations and individuals to make the initial ideas a reality
  • Identifying artists, production requirements and other areas where additional skills are required
  • To create copy and capture images for the digital map
  • Manage and support volunteers on the live nights
  • Train and manage event assistants
  • Undertaking day to day on site production in December
  • Contributing to marketing for OUTSIDE social media and website
  • Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders including artists, sponsors, press, local businesses and community groups, council etc…
  • Supporting evaluation, data capture and monitoring
  • Managing resource storage and transports to support each event
  • To undertake any other duties as determined by the OUTSIDE team

 

Person Specification:

  • Able to demonstrate key skills required of all OUTSIDE staff (positive work ethic, dependable and conscientious/flexibility, use of initiative and good time management/collaborative and outcome focussed/working to plans, policies & procedures/applies equality of opportunity)
  • Excellent organisational skills, including time management and prioritising
  • Committed to the aims of the project, i.e. to deliver a festive event that epitomises community spirit
  • Experience of volunteering or working with volunteers.
  • Strong people skills, including the ability to engage and work inclusively with a diverse range of people from a variety of backgrounds
  • Confidence in capturing content for social media
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends
  • Leek location preferred
  • Own transport required

 

Fee: £5,000

Position: Freelance/Temporary (Approximately 30 days worked flexibly)

Timescale: June/December 2024 (MUST be available between 1st December & 24th December)

Location: Leek, Staffordshire
