Bee Cart : HuG – 24 June
Celebrating the importance of bees and pollinators

The OUTSIDE project has partnered with Moorlands Climate Action in support of its annual green arts festival HuG to bring the amazing Bee Cart to this year’s event.
HuG takes place on Saturday 24th June 10am to 4pm at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek

Bee Cart is an exciting, accessible walkabout theatre piece for audiences of all ages from Sheffield-based theatre company Pif-Paf. Bee guides Bombus and Borage have left the hive with the Bee Cart – their mobile world of interaction, bee wisdom and surreal fun. Delve into the world of bees, learn the pollen packing dance, the waggle dance, try out their buzz pollinator, and maybe even get your nose pollinated!
With its special theme on the vital importance of bees and pollinators, this year’s HuG will celebrate Leek’s award of Bee Friendly Town status with the unveiling of a new bilberry bee wood sculpture made by Moorlands artist, sculptor and craftsman Anthony Hammond. There will also be a wide range of stalls showcasing a variety of arts and crafts using different materials produced with an environmental approach and ethos as well as local nature and environmental groups, plus activities for children and families, live music, poetry readings and a book stall. And the OUTSIDE team will be there too.
HuG takes place on Saturday 24th June 10am to 4pm at the Foxlowe Arts Centre in Leek. Bee Cart will be buzzing around Leek Market Place and the Foxlowe Garden at:
10.30am – 11.15am
12.15pm – 1.00pm
2.15pm – 3.00pm
Admission is free and everyone is welcome. For full details visit the Moorlands Climate Action website here.
