Recycle, Ride, Revive – Pedalling for a Greener Future for the Moorlands

Biddulph, Saturday 12th April 2025, 11am-2pm

Introducing Chain Reaction – a new initiative focused on breathing new life into refurbished bikes, supporting with minor repairs and bike servicing, encouraging more people to get active through cycling, and talking about cycling in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

This project is in partnership with Biddulph Town Council, Biddulph Library, Biddulph Youth and Community Zone, Move More Staffordshire Moorlands, Moorlands Climate Action Staffordshire County Council, Staffordshire Police and OUTSIDE.

Over the next year there will be various different activities and events across the Staffordshire Moorlands – all with a cycling theme.

First event: Saturday 12th April, 11am – 2pm in Biddulph

Join us for lots of bike-related activities outside Biddulph Library.

  • Free bike checks

And… Bicycle Ballet will be bringing Strictly Cycling – check out the video HERE!

Bicycle Ballet’s Strictly Cycling is an improvisational, visual performance and ‘cycle-about’ choreography inspired by flash mobs, dada-ism, every day cycling experiences and the great British weather.

Performers in bright yellow cycle or wheel their bikes. They take over the streets creating epic human/bike sculptures; parking their bikes in the hands of passers-by and battling in slo-motion races, celebrating cycling, life and yellowness!
