Cheadle Lantern Workshops: Part Of Cheadle Arts Festival – Oct
Red Thing Creations are being supported by OUTSIDE
Wellspring Methodist Church, Cheadle, 9th, 14th & 26th October
As part of Cheadle Arts Festival, there will be a lantern parade with ‘Spark! Drummers‘ on 26th of October! Many lantern making workshops will be taking place, some for the public, and some for schools, EqualBase Cheadle, and Moorlands Home Link.
OUTSIDE is supporting Red Thing Creations, a puppet and lantern company ran by Richard Redwin with a focus on delivering awe-inspiring live performances, designing, building and operating giant creations to wow and amaze! Red Thing Creations are teaming up with producer Martin Gooding for this, whose passion has helped to bring lantern parades across Staffordshire.
Come to one of the public workshops and learn how to build a willow and paper hanging lantern, and then join us for the parade! Carry your lantern with us as we wind our way through the streets of Cheadle in a bright and shining show of lights, music and community! Come along to one of our free workshops, no booking required.
