To celebrate women and girls football, OUTSIDE have teamed up with Flatpack Festival and Leek Town Football Club to present COPA 71 released in 2023. It is a fascinating documentary told by the pioneering women who participated in this extraordinary story of the 1971 Women’s Soccer World Cup, a tournament witnessed by record crowds that has been written out of sporting history – until now.

From 6pm there will be a discussion about women’s football and the opportunities available. Speakers include:

•Emma Henderson (1st team captain)
•Louise Carr (Player)
•Brooke Phillips (Reserves captain)
•Beth Cottrell (1st team vice captain and goalkeeper)
•Ian Smith (Director of ladies football at Leek Town FC)

There will also be a chance to feed ideas into a Women, Girls and Football Festival at Leek Town Football Club in 2025.

A licensed bar is available throughout as well as refreshments.
