Celebrating Polish Constitution Day
Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek - 9th May 2026, 2pm-4pm
Join the Leek Polish Connection and OUTSIDE for an afternoon of vibrant Polish dance celebrating Polish Constitution Day, featuring the Wieśniacy troupe, one of the UK’s longest-running Polish folklore groups.
Wieśniacy are a Birmingham-based Polish song and dance ensemble. Founded in 1949 by Poles displaced after the Second World War, the group has spent over 70 years preserving and sharing Polish culture through performance.
Their performers include people with Polish roots, recent arrivals, and those drawn to the energy and beauty of Polish tradition. Known for their richly detailed costumes and lively, authentic performances, Wieśniacy continue to keep Polish folklore alive for new generations.
When: Saturday 9th May 2026, 2pm-4pm (drop in). Performances at approx. 2pm & 3pm
Where: Foxlowe Arts Centre, Leek, ST13 6AD
Who is it for? For all the family. All ages welcome.
Access: The event will take place in the garden, which offers step-free access and space to move around comfortably. In the event of poor weather, the event will move indoors to an upstairs space, which is accessible by stairs only.
