Wellspring Community Cinema – September-December 2026

Wellspring in Cheadle is continuing its journey as a community cinema, with the support of OUTSIDE.

From September to December, Wellspring will be showing four films, bringing a mix of family favourites and feel-good films to the community.

OUTSIDE will also be adding some creative activities to two of the screenings, with themed craft activities accompanying the films in October and November.

September

Calendar Girls (12)
Saturday 26 September, 7pm

A special screening of Calendar Girls, taking place alongside the Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning at Wellspring earlier that day.

October

Up (U)
Friday 30 October, 3pm

Join us for the much-loved Pixar adventure Up, with themed craft activities provided by OUTSIDE.

The screening ties in with the children’s half-term holiday club taking place at Wellspring during the week of 28 October.

November

The Muppet Christmas Carol (U)
Saturday 28 November, 3pm

Get into the festive spirit with The Muppet Christmas Carol, accompanied by Christmas-themed craft activities from OUTSIDE.

December

The Polar Express (U)
Saturday 5 December, 3pm

A festive family favourite to get everyone ready for Christmas.

About Wellspring Community Cinema

All four films will be shown at Wellspring Methodist Church on Chapel Street, Cheadle, opposite the entrance to the car park and next to Elite Kitchens & Bathrooms.

Film screenings are free and there is no need to book.

There is no parking at Wellspring, but the Tape Street car park is directly opposite. Find information about Tape Street car park on the Staffordshire Moorlands District Council website.

Wellspring Community Cinema is an opportunity to bring more film to Cheadle and explore what local people would like to see on the big screen. If you have ideas for future films or would be interested in getting involved in running a local film club, we’d love to hear from you.
