Haregate In Bloom Artist call-out
OUTSIDE are looking to recruit an artist who would like to join us and Aimee’s bus company in transforming a bus interior.

OUTSIDE are supporting Leek Town Council to apply for Haregate in Bloom!
We are looking to recruit an artist who would like to join us and Aimee’s bus company in transforming a bus interior.
Aims of the project:
- To make bus users aware of the Haregate in Bloom application, to connect passengers with the nature around them, to encourage users to get on the bus who are not regular users.
- To create an exciting experience that makes people view their journey differently. We are looking for an installation that can be installed for up to 2 weeks.
- To respond to themes of nature connection and sustainable transport
- To celebrate place and spark civic pride. The bus stop at Haregate Community Centre is also having an artist makeover led by the job club.
*Your proposal may respond to one or more of these aims.
The design must not impede the safe operation of the bus including visibility and access to seats and handrails.

Call out to artists: 8th May 2025.
Submission of application: 25th May 2025.
Appoint artist and approval of work plan: 26th May 2025.
