Lydia Naylor Joins OUTSIDE as Operations Manager
We’re delighted to welcome Lydia Naylor to the OUTSIDE team as our new Operations Manager.
Lydia joins OUTSIDE at an exciting moment for the programme as we continue working towards our ambition of bringing about a rural arts revolution across the Staffordshire Moorlands – creating more opportunities for people in Biddulph, Cheadle and Leek to take part in arts and culture.
With a background in co-design, community facilitation, participatory research and strategic engagement, Lydia has worked across local authority and education sectors, supporting projects that place people and lived experience at the heart of decision making. She studied Design at Goldsmiths, University of London, and her creative practice focuses on lived experience-led research. In her documentary project ‘Mrs Mum’, Lydia worked closely with former textile machinists to capture overlooked stories of working-class care networks and community resilience.
Alongside her professional work, Lydia is also a board member for B-arts, with a particular interest in environmental sustainability and organisational impact.
Speaking about joining OUTSIDE, Lydia said:
“I’m thrilled to be joining the OUTSIDE team. I’ve been inspired by the project since it started in 2022, so it feels particularly exciting to be coming on board at this pivotal moment. I’m really looking forward to helping push the programme forward and supporting OUTSIDE as it continues to grow.”
