Pride in the Moorlands has unveiled its full programme for 2026, bringing three days of celebration, creativity and community to towns and villages across the district from Friday 26th to Sunday 28th June 2026. The weekend celebration, organised by arts programme OUTSIDE and a steering group of local LGBTQ+ community and allies, promises to be an inclusive and joyful experience for people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities.

From a textile craft workshop in Cheadle to a roller disco in Biddulph, Pride oatcakes in Endon and a spectacular parade through Leek, this year’s celebration spreads the joy of Pride right across the district. Highlights this year include the return of Big Fatt Dance Party, this time hosted by Ginny Lemon – fan favourite from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK; vibrant Punjabi Roots Dhol drumming and dance in Leek Market Square, and an all-day Pride Stories Exhibition and workshops with Dr Christopher Owen at Foxlowe Arts Centre.

The Pride Torch will once again travel across the Moorlands as a symbol of unity and visibility, beginning its journey in Flash Village on Friday afternoon and passing through Biddulph, Cheadle and Endon before arriving in Leek on Sunday 28th June for a spectacular celebration.

“We’re incredibly excited to see Staffordshire Moorlands Pride return for its second year,” says Katie Aldous, Director of OUTSIDE. “What makes Pride here special is that it’s created by and for local people. The programme reflects the creativity, warmth and diversity of our communities, while creating visible spaces where LGBTQ+ people can feel welcomed, celebrated and connected. Whether you’re part of the LGBTQ+ community or an ally, there’s something for everyone to enjoy throughout the weekend.”
