Pride in the Moorlands 27/28/29 June 2025 

We hope you can join us in lighting up the Staffordshire Moorlands with pride, joy, and visibility!

Bring the Pride Torch to your community

Staffordshire Moorlands is celebrating Pride for the first time. OUTSIDE has commissioned an artist to make a torch that over 3 days in June will travel around the Moorlands on a torch relay, lighting the way to show support for LGBTQ+ communities across the area.

We’re looking for amazing locations to host it! This is your chance to celebrate and make the LGBTQ+ community visible in your town, village, or neighbourhood.

We’re inviting local groups, schools, community centres, businesses, and individuals to apply for the Pride Torch to visit your area and receive up to £250 to help host inclusive activities. Whether it’s a picnic in the park, silent disco, drag storytelling, rainbow slide, crafts, dance event, afternoon tea, or anything else you dream up, we want to hear your ideas for bringing people together in celebration.

Key dates:

• Applications must be submitted by 9th May

• Successful applicants will be notified by 12th May

• The Pride Torch will travel across the Moorlands on 27th, 28th & 29th June

Where can you host an event?

• Your local park
• Village hall
• School
• Community centre
• Town square
• High street
• Business
• Library

We’re open to other ideas too!

We also want to hear from you if you:

• Want to carry the torch for a leg of its journey

• Want to volunteer your time in supporting the event

• Are a local business interested in sponsoring the event

• Are a charity supporting the LGBTQ+ community wanting to bring a stall to Sunday 29^th June.

Simply email pride@outsidearts.org with your name, email address, phone number, the address of the venue including postcode, and a brief description of the activity and why you would like to bring Pride to your place by Friday 9^th May.
