Colours of the Moorlands : Luminarium in Leek – 26-29 May
A world of colour
OUTSIDE is bringing the stories and places of the Staffordshire Moorlands to life through colour this summer. The project, Colours of the Moorlands, kicked off in a big, bright and bold way with the Luminarium in Leek.
Over four days in May 2023, 4,000 people visited the Luminarium at Leek Hockey Club and immersed themselves in a world of light and colour.
The Luminarium is an iconic, interactive walk-in sculpture by Architects of Air and designed by Alan Parkinson. Visitors were amazed by this unique sensory experience, exhibited in the Staffordshire Moorlands for the first time having toured 43 countries across the world.
